Venezuelan-born Rosangela McCann began her training in the cosmetic industry with a makeup artist who worked directly in the Miss Venezuela pageant. She has been a makeup artist in New England for the past twelve years and is a licensed esthetician with specialized training in advanced aesthetics, as an aesthetician/esthetician and skincare specialist.
Collaborating with photographer Lou Freeman in her work and workshops, McCann has felt Freeman’s continued influence, expanding her vision and helping her to become the artist she is now. “She has taught me how to create concepts and design characters as a whole: hair, makeup, clothing, accessories, shoes, background lighting and model.”
The official makeup artist since 2013 for TEDxAmoskeagMillyard’s annual events, McCann’s work has allowed speakers and entertainers from across the nation to look and feel their best as they faced the cameras to deliver talks and performances each year. McCann’s vast experience and training has created a special emphasis in holistic makeup application for visual mediums, photography, television or video work.
